Privacy Policy
TermLink (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides software that lets you access tmux sessions on your Mac from your iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Summary
- Remote access traffic is encrypted between your Mac and iPhone. We do not receive or store the contents of your terminal sessions.
- The Mac Agent stores pairing and trust data locally on your Mac.
- Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple; we do not receive your full payment card details.
Information we collect
Information you provide
If you contact us at support@termlink.vip, we receive the information you send (such as your email address and message content) so we can respond to your request.
If you join a beta or mailing list, we may collect your email address for product updates you opt into.
Information collected automatically
Our website may collect standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps) for security and basic analytics. The TermLink Mac Agent and iOS app do not require a TermLink account to operate.
If you subscribe to TermLink Pro through the App Store, Apple provides us with subscription status information (such as purchase date and renewal status) so we can enable Pro features. Payment processing is handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Information we do not collect
We do not operate a cloud service that receives the contents of your tmux sessions, terminal keystrokes, command history, or files on your Mac. Remote access traffic is encrypted between your devices. When a direct connection is not available, encrypted traffic may pass through third-party relay infrastructure; relay operators cannot read your session content.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve TermLink
- Verify App Store subscriptions and deliver Pro features
- Respond to support requests and communicate about the product
- Protect against abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
Local data on your devices
The Mac Agent stores trusted device pairings and cryptographic keys locally, for example at
~/Library/Application Support/TermLink/trusted.json. The iOS app stores saved
agent connection details and device identity keys on your iPhone (for example in app storage).
You can remove this data by deleting the app or clearing trusted devices on your Mac.
Connectivity
TermLink establishes encrypted connections between your Mac and iPhone. When direct connectivity is unavailable (for example because of NAT or firewalls), encrypted traffic may be relayed through third-party servers so your devices can still connect. We do not receive the contents of those sessions.
Third-party services
TermLink may rely on the following third parties:
- Apple App Store — app distribution and in-app purchases
- Connectivity providers — encrypted peer-to-peer networking and relay infrastructure (currently including services operated by n0 computer; see iroh.computer for their policies)
- Hosting providers — website and download delivery
These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
Data retention
Support emails are retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Subscription records are retained as required for billing, tax, and fraud prevention. Local device data remains on your devices until you delete it.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information. To make a request, contact privacy@termlink.vip.
You can cancel Pro subscriptions at any time through iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Children’s privacy
TermLink is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
If you access TermLink from outside the United States, your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. We take steps designed to protect your information consistent with this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
